Greeting to all, It is a great Privilege for me to bring to you this last report of my last year as your
FCF President
Most of our activites were focused on the National Redezvous "Living Waters" which was held and Camp Freedom, Falcon, NC, September 2009.
I was able to get out
four mailing to advertize the camp, containg all registration forms, wht infromation of cut-off date for early registrations.
Commander Brent Chitwood helped me in designing the patch,
adn with the patch I designed the medallion. All this was givent to Commander David Moore and held until we ot and idea of the size of the registration, As we didn't want to over order.
All the rest is truly a miracle as Gob put it together. Rev. Talmadge Gardener and Rev. Bill Terry pledged to sponsor the awards for the events in the amounts of $300.00 each from Men's
Ministries and RDC, CE. Dept.
When the registration started coming I was getting discouraged. By the cut-off date we only had 15-18. There were two things playing an important factor
in this:
A. The Economy
B. The date of the Rendezvous
I had set a goal for 100 attendees but I could see that I
might even get 50. After the cut-off Date the registrations started to trickle in. At the last moment Commander David put an order in for the shirts, patches and medallions. At the start
of the camp only the patches were in hand. Commander David drove to get the shirst from camp and then another miracle the medallions arrived at the post office on Saturday of camp. God was
at work in the whole event. At the end of the camp we had 75 registration and campers on the ground.
We had arrived on Wednesday to start setting up the camp, and that night we had
about 3" of rainfall. A lot of stuff got wet. That night I got into my tent and to bed when the rain started to come through the canvas. I moved to another tent, it too started to leak so
I moved to my truck the and slept the rest of the night in the cab.
The rest fo the time there was excellent weather. Saturday morning it was overcast but the sun broke through giving
us just enough time to take the group photograph; then the sun didn't shine through the rest of the camp. Another Miracle.
The services were right on target. Rev. Bill Terry started on
Thursday night and spoke to the text of John 7:38 on "Living Water". Friday morning the devotion was on "Jesus at the well of Sychar". Then Friday evening Rev. Randall Strickland spoke on
the "Empty Bucket and the Broken Dipper"; and there was a wonderful after-service. Saturday morning devotion was on "Waters in Ezekiel 47" - waters enough to swim in. Saturday evening Rev.
Charles Boyd spoke on the "River of Life" in Revelations. They were all wonderful services and I think all were blessed.
It has been a privilege to serve with you these past four years.
My sincere thanks to all here for your help and I covet your prayers for my complete healing.
